I am a graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in Earth and Space Sciences (ESS) at the University of Washington. I am jointly advised by Marine Denolle (ESS), and William Wilcock (Oceanography).
I am currently studying Axial Seamount, a submarine volcano off the coast of Oregon. Axial is the best monitored submarine volcano in the world, and it is expected to erupt as soon as 2025. This presents the unique opportunity for scientists to observe the seamount’s inflation, eruption, and role in seafloor spreading on the Juan de Fuca Ridge.
My work as a student and scientist aims to deepen our understanding of the natural environment and geohazards found in the Pacific Northwest - the region I call home - for the benefit of broader society.
